Difference between 4G and 5G?

  • October 27. 2018

5G, the 5th generation wireless systems, is another improvement in communication technology after 4G.

It is expected that the transmission rate of 5G networks can reach up to 10Gbps, which means that mobile phone users can download a high-definition movie in one second.

From the experience of the majority of users, whether it is video and audio, or application downloads, etc., the most intuitive experience brought by 5G is "fast."

However, compared to 4G, 5G is there to bring faster and more stable data transmission, what changes are there behind it?

1.Unlike 4G, 3G, and 2G, 5G is not a single wireless access technology, but a true converged network. 5G network transmission rate can reach up to 10Gbps.

2.The frequency band used by 5G is much higher than 4G, which results in greatly reduced transmission coverage of 5G single base stations.

Therefore, 5G needs more dense networking and more base stations.

3.In order to reduce the cost pressure on coverage, it is foreseeable that in the near future, micro base stations will be everywhere around us.

2019 is the pre-commercial year of 5G, and by 2020, 5G will become commercially available.

So what changes will 5G bring to our lives? Let us look forward to it together.
