Introduction of 10G SFP+ RJ45 optical module

The 10Gigabit RJ45 module is specially designed for high-speed communication link. Compared with the ordinary optical module, the power consumption of the 10 Gigabit RJ45 module is half of that of the ordinary optical module, and its performance is stable. It can realize 10G transmission network through the network cable and is widely used in the 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Today let's learn about 10G SFP+ RJ45 module!

Description of 10G SFP+ RJ45 module:

10G SFP+ provides RJ45 interface, which is mainly integrated in switches, network cards and other products. It adopts full duplex transmission mode with echo suppression, PAM16 pulse amplitude modulation technology, and the standard working bandwidth is 417MHz.

It is mainly used to complete 10G Ethernet transmission in cat6a or cat7 copper cabling system. It conforms to SFF-8431 and SFF-8432 MSA standards, and the maximum transmission distance can reach 30m. In addition, compared with the high-speed cable, 10GBASE-T SFP+ RJ45 module can save at least 0.5W of power consumption, and its RJ-45 interface can support both shielded and unshielded twisted pairs.

1. At present, the link distance between the devices in most data centers is between 10m and 100m. Using 10G SFP+ electric port optical module can make up for the shortage of high-speed cable transmission distance of SFP+.

2. The optical module of 10G copper adopts RJ45 interface, which is used together with super class VI or class VII network cable, while the cost of copper cable wiring is lower than that of optical cable wiring.

3. 10G SFP+ copper module can be directly used in the existing copper cabling system to realize 10G transmission, while the use of the SFP+ optical module requires the use of optical cables for wiring, which will increase the deployment cost. If you want to use the SFP+ optical module in the existing copper cabling system, you need to add equipment such as Ethernet switch or photoelectric converter.

Precautions when purchasing 10G copper module:

1. There is a choice of multi rate or single rate. 10G rate copper modules support multi rate (1-10Gb / s) and single rate (10Gb / s).

2. The operating temperature range is different. 10G copper module has commercial  and industrial temperature. The commercial temperature range is 0~70 ℃, and the industrial temperature is - 45~85 ℃.

3. The main chip is different.

Application scenario of 10G SFP+ copper module:

The interface between RJ-45 and SFP+ module can not be directly interconnected. A converter from SFP+ module to RJ45 interface is needed. 10G copper module is such a converter. Through 10G copper module and CAT6 network cable, the 10 Gigabit network card of RJ-45 interface can be interconnected with the 10 Gigabit switch with SFP+ interface.

Usage: First insert 10G copper module into the 10 Gigabit switch of the SFP+ interface, and then directly use the network cable of RJ45 interface to successfully connect the 10 Gigabit network card and the 10 Gigabit switch.
