Classification, advantages and application scenarios of MTP optical patch cord

What are the types of MTP fiber patch cords?

According to different standards, MTP fiber patch cord can be divided into different types.

1. According to the application, it can be divided into MTP backbone fiber jumper and MTP branch fiber jumper. The MTP backbone fiber patch cord is connected to the MTP connector, while the MTP branch fiber patch cord is connected to the standard LC / FC / SC / St / MTRJ connector (usually mtp-lc).

2. According to the connector, it can be divided into female MTP fiber and male MTP fiber.

3. According to the transmission mode, it can be divided into MTP single-mode fiber and MTP multimode fiber patch cord.

Application of MTP optical patch cord:

MTP fiber patch cords can be used in a variety of applications. For example: backbone network, optical fiber distribution, high-density data center environment, warehouse, ribbon cable terminal, fast maintenance setting and play system solution, and parallel optical interconnection between servers.

MTP/MPO optical fiber patch cord is designed for high-density application in data center. It is widely used in high-density integrated optical fiber line environment in the process of cabling, just like 100G module in all networks and equipment.

In addition to the above common applications, MTP backbone jumper and MTP branch patch cord have their own special uses. MTP trunk jumper can be 12-144 cores. These high-density multi-core MTP components are very suitable for backbone network and data center applications that meet high-density requirements in limited space. MTP fan-out components can be connected to devices or panels with ST, SC, FDDI, ESCON connectors to meet various fiber cabling requirements. This component is pre wired and can be used for patch panels and wall mounted cabinets.

Different MTP fiber patch cord have different application scenarios:

1. Use MTP fiber patch cord to realize the interconnection of 100g qsfp28 optical module, so as to improve the performance of fiber broadband.

2. Use MTP branch optical fiber patch cord to realize 40G to 4x10G data transmission, so as to achieve different network connection effects.
