Advantages of 16G FC SFP+ optical modules:

v Large transmission capacity - Compared with the traditional 8G FC optical module, the bidirectional transmission capacity of 16G FC SFP+ optical module has doubled, reaching 2048 MByte/s.

v With backward compatibility function, it can operate at 8.5 Gbps (8G FC) and 4.25Gbps (4G FC).

v Backward compatibility - The 16G FC SFP+ optical module has adaptive function and can be compatible with the traditional 8G/4G/2G FC network. Therefore, it can be seamlessly connected to the existing FC network equipment and adapt to the needs of future network upgrading.

Application of 16G SFP+ optical module:

It is mainly used in FC (fibre channel) network applications. It can not only adapt to the traditional FC network, but also upgrade to a higher performance network.

16G SFP+ SR optical module: Adopt LC duplex connector, use with multimode fiber. The working wavelength is generally 850nm, and the transmission distance can reach 100m.

16G SFP+ LR optical module: Adopt LC duplex connector, the working wavelength is 1310nm, which can be up to 10km with single-mode fiber.

16G SFP+ bidi optical module: It is a kind of single fiber bidirectional optical module. It adopts WDM technology and LC simplex connector. It needs to be used in pairs to ensure normal operation. The operating wavelengths are 1270/1330nm and 1310/1270nm. When used with single-mode fiber, the transmission distance can reach 10km.

16G CWDM SFP+ optical module: It adopts CWDM transmission technology and is a kind of coarse division multiplexing optical module. Using LC duplex connector, the working wavelength is 1470 ~ 1610nm, and the transmission distance can reach 10km when used with single-mode fiber.

16G DWDM SFP+ optical module: It is an optical module encapsulated in dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) SFP+ with LC duplex connector. The working wavelength is 1528.77~1563.86nm. Generally, the transmission distance can reach 10km when it is used with single-mode fiber.
